You have have a good idea what something is worth in order for this to work. Looking at something and saying “Oh, this looks like it’s valuable” isn’t good enough. 7. Set up a local directory site. I’m telling you people something right now. I think the future of the Internet is in the local markets. Remember when the Internet got off the ground and the buzz word was “Think Globally?” I’m going to tell you now to “Think Locally!” There is no reason you can’t get some cheap hosting, grab a directory script and create a local directory. You can be selling ads to local businesses before the week is out. Poof. Done. You could also start a local newsletter, but you’ll have to have a subscription base first.
